2024 Eden Valley Riesling
Lemon, lime and mineral, with a fine bath-salt lift.
A one-man band — Rhône-inspired Barossa wine, made by one pair of hands.
Tim Smith Wines began in 2001, after a study trip to France's Rhône Valley left its mark on winemaker Tim Smith. The first vintage followed in 2002, and the label has kept the same idea ever since: Rhône inspiration, Barossa and Eden Valley fruit of real provenance, and a practical, hands-on understanding of what actually works in the vineyard and the shed.
The red thumbprint on every bottle is Tim's own — a small mark of authorship on wine that's genuinely made by one person. Fruit comes from vineyards of provenance across the Barossa and Eden Valley, old vines and single sites recurring throughout the range, from Eden Valley Riesling and Viognier to old-vine Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz.
It's deliberately a one-man band: serious about the wine, relaxed about the ceremony around it. Cellar-door visits are one-to-one and by appointment — a rustic, personal tasting with the winemaker rather than a polished showroom.
