2023 Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon

Barossa Cabernet on its own terms — this is not trying to be anything other than what it is. A classic dark-fruit core of blackcurrant and plum meets fine tannin structure and a dry, savoury finish that shows the region's ability to do something genuinely serious with the variety. The 2023 vintage brought even, slow ripening across the valley, and this Cabernet carries that patience. It drinks well now alongside red meat and hard cheese, and will reward those with the discipline to cellar a few for five years or more.
