2023 Montepulciano

The Monte, as our members call it, has its own cult following — and this vintage reminds you exactly why. Medium-bodied with a fleshy, generous fruit nose of dark cherry, red plum and a hint of dried herbs, it carries onto the palate with the firm acid backbone and savoury tannins that are Montepulciano's calling card. It's a wine of real character, one that doesn't apologise for being different. Bruno & George is one of very few Barossa producers working with this Italian variety, and it remains one of the most interesting wines in the range.
