Albert, Kym Teusner’s grandfather, was a man of quiet strength and stubborn resolve — a fitting paragon for this Barossa Shiraz, drawn from the Wilksch Vineyard in Seppeltsfield and the Hoffman S1 block in Tanunda. Old vines bring signature concentration: dark berries, black cherry, blood plum and cassis, layered with turned earth, charcuterie, tobacco leaf and a subtle lift of mint. The palate is plush yet composed, framed by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. With its depth, structure and balance, Albert will cellar beautifully for a decade or more.
